HUB Certified Company
An experienced HUB and MBE partner helping small businesses meet their diversity goals.
Texas Speciality Products is proud to be a HUB certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), meaning we are an an independent for-profit business which is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled on a daily basis by one or more United States citizens who are Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American. As a certified MBE through the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council (HMSDC), TSP is also a certified Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) meeting all requirements set by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA). These certifications allow TSP to be included on the list of Certified HUB vendors for consideration during the procurement process of state agencies.
How HUB and TSP Benefit Your Business
Our certifications allow us to help you meet your Small Business and Diversity goals, through an increased exposure to the general public, and other entities, who have a supplier diversity program and are searching for minority and woman-owned businesses. We are able to solicit bids from certified HUBs for state purchasing and public works contracts. Prime contractors also use the HUB Directory to identify HUBs to whom they will send notification of their subcontracting opportunities. We work directly with your Supplier Diversity Officer to fulfill your HUB certification demand.
TSP can work for you as your:
1. Prime HUB contractor
2. HUB sub contractor
Texas Speciality Products places great value on being a HUB certified company as described by Robert Hunton, President and CEO:
With our HUB certification we will be able to help our current and prospective customers obtain partial to full credit in achieving their state and federally mandated HUB participation goals on all projects that apply. They will receive HUB credit for their expenditures with Texas Specialty Products in their semi-annual and annual HUB reports," he says. "Doing business with Texas Specialty Products will demonstrate that our customers have made a good faith effort towards fulfilling their HUB obligations as they pertain to the State and/or Federal HUB programs, as well as local municipal projects. The HUB certifying authority tracks the success of minority businesses in doing business with the state and takes note of all parties involved with that success. Our customers stand to benefit greatly from that kind of positive exposure.
